MILITARY DRUMS IN THE 18th CENTURY
In this interview on Tv Hellín, I discuss my CD recording titled Sounds of the Spanish Crown: the 18th Century. It features the Spanish military ordinance music of the Bourbons—specifically the works of Philip V (which I have recently transcribed and edited after registering them with the Spanish General Society of Authors and Publishers) and those of Charles III (from the 1761 Espinosa de los Monteros manuscript).
I have also re-transcribed the drum sections of Charles III’s Ordinances using new criteria, restoring a level of splendor and sonority that was truly waiting to be rediscovered.
